JOB DESCRIPTION: Accenture LLP seeks a Principal Consultant in Los Angeles, CA to act in a lead capacity and be responsible for projects involving strategy and Oracle systems optimization as it relates to financial/accounting systems operations, business processes, security, and data integrity. S/he will perform the following duties: work within a team that is responsible for planning, analyzing, creating, designing, testing, and implementing new Oracle Cloud-based Financial solutions; review business processes and advise on solutions and system services available within the Oracle Financials suite of apps, while identifying and communicating their findings to senior management and client personnel; gather and organize information on current business processes and procedures, documents findings and analyze findings to design Oracle Cloud Financial systems solutions that solve specific business problems related to financial and accounting systems; prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems and procedures as well as business process redesign; confer with business and project management to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures, user acceptance testing and training; review and map Oracle Financials business processes and execute the day-to-day activities of advisory engagements for a variety of clients-including process design, package implementation lifecycle support and project reviews; conduct pre-sales activities and lead Oracle Cloud-based Financial project assessments; consult with clients to establish user requirements and determine the role of current Financial/Accounting systems operations within their business processes; review, analyze, document and evaluate current Financial/Accounting business systems and processes; analyze the functionality and features of Oracle Cloud based Financial systems to recommend improvements to business alignment and maximize performance to meet client's business goals; identify problems with current processes/systems in order to suggest Oracle Cloud Financials-based solutions that automate, improve, or add new functionality to existing Financial/Accounting systems; participate in design sessions to address gaps (areas not covered) in current system, provide suggestions to improve existing systems, and to change/modify current business processes to achieve quantifiable process improvements; articulate solutions to client's end users and C-level executives and other stakeholders; prepare design documentation and work with application implementation resources to support business requirements; prepare and present updates on projects to executive management; recommend, develop and execute plans for additional software module implementations based on specific business requirements; utilize industry-leading best practices for solutions design, business process analysis and system integration; troubleshoot problems with Oracle Finance apps by working with Business Analysts, Engineers and Software Developers; take part in testing to ensure that the systems work as expected; provide post-go-live analysis of new system set up, functionality/features and design customizations to ensure the system standard features are working correctly; analyze problems and implementations to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action; utilize industry-leading best practices for solutions design, business process analysis and system integration; create and maintain effective client relationships while participating in business development; and offer strategic business support to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Up to 75% domestic travel required. May work from the company’s HQ office, or reside anywhere in the U.S. and work remotely from home. May work at other U.S. locations not presently known.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires at least a bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related, plus 10 years of experience as Computer Systems Analyst, Oracle Apps / Oracle Financials Consultant, Principal Consultant, Systems Consultant, or related positions, including the following professional experience: 10 years of consulting experience with Oracle Financials; experience with business processes, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Generally-Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); knowledge of accounting budgeting, Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Fixed Asset Management (FA), Cash Management, and Tax; experience with Oracle systems implementation, including requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, and support; experience working independently and recommending industry-best practices based on business requirements; experience participating in cross-functional discussions to analyze requirements, recommend solutions; and knowledge of MS Project, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
