CBRE Senior Business Analyst - Financial Application in Los Angeles, California


We are seeking someone who is knowledgeable in commercial real estate financial analytics with strong modeling and business systems abilities.The Business Analyst is expected to understand the needs and challenges of the client as it relates to cash flow modeling software and work with the digital solutions present to solve their needs. The Business Analyst is the liaison between business representatives responsible for delivering the modeling outputs and the team responsible for developing the models. The Business Analyst should have a thorough understanding of financial modeling, transaction / valuation processes and portfolio management to translate business requirements into modeling capabilities. The Business Analyst will work together with the Global Product Manager and will spearhead the region’s modeling requirements. The Business Analyst will be responsible for researching the businesses’ needs, determining viable technology and modeling solutions, and creating processes, providing training and ongoing support of these solutions.The Digital and Technology team is strategically located around the world, so the Business Analyst will need to operate independently from the team. The Business Analyst will be located near the business in which they support.


Strong organization, project management and communication skills are required. End-user support for a specific application and translates those needs for developing test plans. Business and user needs analyses, including documenting requirements and revising existing system logic difficulties. Implement systems applications and tests end-user processes. Lead end-user training initiatives, including creating presentation materials, hosting training sessions and developing quick-guides. Provide technical support on an ongoing basis related to business software solutions. Develop customized queries and reports utilizing complex table matrices. Works on applications problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Able to work with team members in different regions and time zones. Flexibility regarding working hours is required.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as functional guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field and 4-6 years of experience.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.


Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook are required.Knowledge of Anaplan, SSRS Network and server architecture highly preferred.
