How will you make an impact?

The Sr. Product Manager, is a global position which drives the value of the product portfolio with the development and implementation of product initiatives and business development initiatives for their specific portfolio within the Single Use Technologies Business Unit for Thermo Fisher Scientific. The position is responsible for managing product growth, maximizing related product revenues, margins and creating a strong vision for single use systems in bioprocessing market.

The Sr. Product Manager reports to the Director of Product Management. The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for increasing revenue and market share, training and support of the product for equipment and automation solutions within the BioProcess Equipment and Automation strategic business unit. This position can be based anywhere in the U.S.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for product line revenue and margin performance

  • Drives new product concepts and introductions

  • Understand market needs, trends, competition, and pricing

  • Owns the Product life cycle management

  • Works cross functionally on all product related matters

  • Responsible for product change management and driving communications

  • Responsible for commercial, customer support, and field communications

  • Drives the end of life management

How will you get there?

  • 10+ years of directly related technical experience in bioprocess & pharma controls, automation, equipment, and instrumentation

  • 8+ years of product management or commercial, customer-facing experience

  • Minimum of a BS/BA in related field. MBA preferred.

  • Experience and knowledge of technology development in bioprocessing

  • Strong collaborative track record, which includes working within a global matrix environment along with the ability to find solutions to a common goal.

  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with customers, peers, and upper management.

  • Require up to 30% travel including international

  • Strategic Thinking - Understands company vision with business acumen, and can translate into actionable solutions

  • Manage Ambiguity - Navigates strategic direction and clarifies conflicting business priorities

  • Drive for Results - Consistently meets goals and objectives with increasing focus on stretch goal attainment.

  • Execution focus - Owns activity, consistently delivers on execution and business impact
