IBM Watson Health Solution Consultant Lead in Los Angeles, California

Your Role and Responsibilities

Working under minimal supervision, this position will assist the Solution Consultant Lead with various duties, such as working with training specialists, and/or subject matter experts within all areas of the organization to plan, design, develop, deliver, maintain, schedule, and/or track training events/programs/modules. The Training Team Leader will act as the lead training resource in their area of expertise within the department, and will be responsible for assisting the department director with planning and identifying customer and employee training needs, as well as consulting, creating, leading, and/or assisting with new development, maintenance, and/or instructional design of training materials / programs; may also coordinate customer/employee training programs; track and maintain training records and schedule resources.

Essential Job Duties

  • Serves as a lead training resource for the department by assisting the manager in identifying company software/system training needs for customers and internal employees. Trains new hires on applications and department processes.

  • Ability to understand and learn company software products, services, and internal processes, with the ability to assist in converting technical information into easily understood training programs and then delivering such training to trainees and/or conduct train-the-trainer sessions.

  • Uses and/or oversees instructional design techniques/methodologies for new training programs or updating of existing training programs or initiatives/materials so as to maximize the accuracy and effectiveness of the training.

  • Interacts with all levels of personnel to; gather training needs and requirements; conduct needs assessments as required; convert information received into training materials/modules; and/or deliver training as needed.

  • Assists in and/or determines the scope and timeline of training projects.

  • Develops, maintains, and/or follows company/department quality standards for new/existing training programs.

  • Manages and/or assists in preparing training related materials, checklist, agendas, and/or outlines for training delivery, as well as scheduling with the site or the facility/classroom, resources, and/or meals as needed.

  • Pursues a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.

  • Identifies and communicates possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven organizational, training development and instructional design skills, writing skills, and/or project management skills needed, accompanied by strong communication/facilitation/training delivery skills.

  • Experience and/or knowledge/exposure of adult learning principles, training methodologies, instructional system design methodologies, materials development and dissemination required.

  • Ability to schedule training resources, register training attendees, and track and maintain all records of training in order to maintain compliance with departmental standards and/or the Quality Management System.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Effective and advanced training delivery, training administration, project management, and time management skills needed.

  • Experience in a lead training or project management role strongly preferred. Must be proficient in computer software to perform essential functions.

  • Medical technologist or nursing industry recognized certification (e.g. ARRT, RCS, RN, RDCS) preferred.

  • Experience in Healthcare Application training is a plus.

  • Experience in Customer support and interaction especially in a healthcare environment preferred.

  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Possession of a master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or closely related field of study is a plus.

  • Experience in Healthcare Application training or clinical/surgical work flow is a plus.

  • Experience in Customer support and interaction especially in a healthcare environment preferred.
