The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Web Application Developer for the production and maintenance of web-based applications. The Web Application Developer is responsible for design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of new and existing applications. General skills and experience required:

  • Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle process

  • Knowledge and experience in Technology including various architectures, languages, tools and applications

  • Written and verbal communication skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Proficiency with ASP.NET

  • Experience in application development

  • Experience with Java - object oriented programming

  • Familiarity with J2EE: Java Servlets, JSP,JSTL, Spring, iBATIS, Javascript

  • Familiar with Eclipse, or equivalent - particularly using Rational Application Developer

  • Familiar with Web Application servers such as WebSphere Application server.

  • Familiar with setting up Data Sources, LDAP and other middleware services
