Work you ll do

  • SatelliteInstallation and Configuration

  • RedHatStandard Build Configuration for client and 2.0 Servers

  • RedHatPatching Process

  • ACASScanning Process and Patching Procedures development

  • Researchof issues, solutions.

  • Scriptwriting/management solutions.

  • Leadand Mentor System Administrator on solutions

  • System Engineering of a Solaris 10 Environment

  • DoDSTIG Requirements

  • StandardBuild Configuration for iPERMS 1.0 Servers

  • SolarisPatching Process

  • ACASScanning Process and Patching Procedures development

  • Researchof issues, solutions.

  • Scriptwriting/management solutions.

  • Leadand Mentor System Administrators on solutions

  • Network Familiarity - work with the onsiteNetwork team

  • Coordinationwith Fort Carson RNEC and Fort Knox NEC for OC3 configuration

  • Coordinationwith Fort Knox NEC and Fort Carson RNEC to set up SIPR VPN

  • PPSDevelopment with Fort Knox and Fort Carson Information Assurance

  • Documentation:

  • RackDiagrams, Documentation, Designs.

  • Workwith Strategic Planner, Operations Manager, Database Manager, and DevelopmentTeam on Bill of Materials and System Layouts

  • Storage & Replications

  • Workwith Storage Engineer to learn how storage is used

  • Workwith Storage Engineer, System Admins to configure storage on Fort Carson andFort Knox systems

  • Replicationbetween production and COOP sites, ensure COOP site is in sync with Primarysite.

The Team

The Human Resources Transformation team is a core component of our GPS HumanCapital practice the work we do supports the five major issues our clientsare facing. We collaborate with our clients to develop leading global HRstrategies and support organizations in achieving excellence through implementingsolutions that transform how they organize, develop capabilities, deployleading technology, and deliver a leading employee experience.

Keeping the employee in mind, all our services cater to improvingan organization s productivity through their human capital asset. The clientissues we work with range from the need for a comprehensive HR strategy todetermining the need for new and enabling technologies, to streamlining HRoperations and transforming the way HR is delivered.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 7 years experience as a UnixSystem Administrator,Red Hat Enterprise versions 6 and 7 experience, Solaris10.

  • Clearance Required:Secret Clearance

  • Required: Security

  • Required: RedHat Certification (RHCHA) RedHat 7.x

  • Experience with Red Hat SatelliteServer, diagnostics and troubleshooting RHEL environments.

  • Experience with Solaris OS,diagnostics and troubleshooting environments.

  • Understanding of operating systems,the organizations operating environment, network requirements, and systemautomation to include Enterprise Linux, enterprise storage.

  • Understanding of the organizationalsecurity standards for operating configurations, security constraints, andprocedures for managing organization software.

  • Ability to work with systemengineers to engage in joint project planning.

  • Perform hardware/software diagnostics.

  • Experience in and understanding ofproduction operations, server, storage, network, systems management, discrepancyreport (DR), and Business recovery practices.

  • Experience and ability to configureTCP/IP, network interfaces and IP security.

  • Understanding of UNIX/Linux shellscripting and applications (e.g. DNS, NFS, Apache, etc.).

  • Strong problem determination/resolution skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in team environment.

  • Self-starter that requires minimal supervision and canprovide oversight for any assigned projects.

  • Expert knowledge of server and system administrationprinciples
