This role will report directly to the Retail indirect procurement lead (Senior Manager, Retail Indirects).
What you will do:
Assist in implementing the retail strategy in line with Procurement Organization objectives to the Retail business unit
Partner with Retail site leaders, team members and other internal stakeholders in managing total spend while procuring quality products and services to meet company requirements
Develop, implement and manage procurement purchasing programs including the enterprise purchasing card program, Ariba and S4 systems
Act as a subject matter expert and single point of contact for Retail purchasing programs
Ensure that the appropriate channel is leveraged for operational efficiency, financial controls, reporting and financial impact (rebate) by understanding the various buying channels (Pcard, Expense Management System, Ariba, Fleet card)
Maximize the rebates by driving the appropriate volume and ensuring compliance to the process
Manage Pcard, Ariba and S/4 suppliers on behalf of Retail to resolve issues, continuously improve the programs and ensure that the BU needs are being met
Support the Sr. Manager, Retail Indirect Procurement, in delivering savings through strategic initiatives for Retail
Assist in the implementation of procurement tools and templates across Retail sites, including the tactical use of these tools to drive Retail value capture
Act as Retail’s liaison to the Center of Excellence (COE) to communicate the business needs are understood and being met, and the COE’s capabilities are being leveraged appropriately
Assist in the development of Retail spend cube with the Procurement Center of Excellence
Oversee the consolidated invoicing process for the Retail business unit up to approval
Lead the reporting of all retail indirect metrics for Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance
Collaborate with the indirect operations, manufacturing and corporate pillars to successfully deploy indirect procurement processes, policies, initiatives and systems
Work closely with Retail leadership (including Retail sites) to ensure a successful implementation of Procurement best practices and organizational objectives
What you will bring:
Post-secondary education, including an undergraduate degree in a business-related field
Strong initiative, work ethic, and dedication to constructing and executing best-in-class procurement strategies and plans, specifically to the Retail business unit
Must be a “quick study”, able to sort through considerable information, get to the “heart of the matter”, and move forward expeditiously
Ability to address competing interests, reluctant participants, and other barriers to participation in the supply chain – navigating many perspectives and positing thoughtful and collaborative solutions to build relationships
Broad experience in supply chain, business development, and procurementbest practices in a world classorganization
Experience in financial / purchasing programs including Pcard, Expense Management Systems (EMS), Purchase Orders, Ariba, P2P and travel related programs
Demonstrated experience in change management / communications and influencer strategy
Experience in supply chain management, including procurement spend and capability assessments, multi-phase sourcing efforts,supplier relationshipmanagement, and business process improvement initiatives
Ability to identify, develop, propose, and implement process change
Experience and expertise working within the Agriculture sector
Financial acumen a must
