Reports to the Director, Safety Leadership & Technical Training.

What you will do:

  • Provide strategic direction to align the technical training function with the central SH&E strategy

  • Provide leadership to the technical training team across retail and wholesale operations

  • Professionally develop and support the technical training professionals across retail and wholesale operations

  • Coordinate and mobilize support for technical training requests

  • Manage the support of technical training systems in retail and wholesale operations (Learning Management System LMS, and Learning Content Management System LCMS)

  • Align technical training content across retail and wholesale operations

  • Align technical training standards and ensure consistent governance of technical training practices and processes

  • Manage the central technical training budget which supports retail and wholesale operations

What you will bring:

  • 8-10 years of experience in the training profession, preferably in an industrial setting

  • 5 years of direct leadership experience

  • Graduate of a recognized university, with a preference for a degree or professional certificate in Adult Learning/Education and/or Instructional Design

  • Expertise in adult learning, instructional design and learning technologies

  • Excellent leadership skills, and ability to manage a global team in multiple locations

  • Exceptional written and communication skills, and organizational and planning skills

  • Advanced facilitation skills and the ability to coach others to deliver high quality and effective training

  • Innovative and open to learning new and emerging trends within adult learning and the training industry

  • Technologically competent, and has the ability learn new technical training systems quickly

  • Exemplary interpersonal, motivational and influencing skills

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of training on corporate performance

  • Deep understanding of the regulatory requirements associated with technical training

  • Ability to travel globally
