OBJECTIVES

  • To demonstrate the credibility of Oracle's Technology Solutions.

  • To respond to demand from Sales Management forexpertise in creating and conducting detailed technical and productpresentations to a prospective technical or business audience.

  • To plan, manage evaluation for the Technology solutions.

  • To work as part of Sales and/or Account Teams onspecific opportunities to enhance revenue for Oracle Corporation throughlicense sales or Cloud subscription

  • To cover prospects/customers based in the South Eastregion of France (200 Kms around Lyon)

  • To demonstrate the value of Oracle's Technology Solutions:

  • Data Management (Oracle Database, Big Data, …)

  • Integration (Data integration, API, ….)

  • Security (Identity, Security, …)

  • Business Analytics (Reporting, Data visualization, …)

  • To be able to deliver a first level presentation in alltopics mentioned above.

  • To have a least one area of expertise in the topicsdescribed above

  • Works closely with other Oracle Pre-Sales Consultantsand other Line Of business

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively maintaining a depth product knowledge in thedesignated product areas

  • Maintain awareness of all relevant competitive products

  • Promote the Technology Cloud Framework.

  • Understand the needs and pains of the customer and thenlink them to a set of products/solutions provided by Oracle

  • Educating customers and partners in Oracle Productoffering and Cloud strategy in the designated product areas

  • Help pushing Oracle's product offering to the Market

  • Building and maintaining trustful relationships withthe customer during the bid process

SPECIFIC TO THE ROLE

  • Demonstrates value of Oracle's Cloud PaaS/IaaSproducts and solutions, at all levels, but with a particular focus on keydecision makers at the customers' organization

  • Based on prospects input, provide appropriate feedbackto product managers and product development

  • Provide product demos and presentations, alsointeractively – i.e without a pre-defined script, & answeringquestions & demonstrating ‘how’ an issue could be solved

  • Can participate in strategic account planning, and cando this for major accounts where required

  • Significant knowledge of a product set, including

  • Competitive offerings

  • Cloud oriented architecture

  • Solutions enabled by the products

  • Case studies of implementations

  • Links to development teams and information on futureproduct development

  • Attend customer meetings with Sales to understandcustomer needs

  • Design and deliver customer demonstrations toarticulate, update and evangelize Oracle based technical and productsolutions

  • Contribute technical and product information inresponse to Requests For Information (RFIs)

  • Run seminars and workshops for Partner organizationsas required

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
