We are looking for a consultant with extensive infrastructure experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be technically strong and have an understanding of large-scale distributed systems (cloud-based) environments. We are looking for an excellent technical contributor to our team.
The Consultant is responsible for contributing to defining and justifying the architecture of solutions, proper sizing, detailed technical design, implementation and delivery in the IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) environment.
Operate independently to provide quality work to an engagement.
Perform varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
Apply Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.
Work independently as well as part of a team.
Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.
Lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
Effectively consult with management of customer organizations.
Travel as needed.
10 years of experience acting as a consultant, project manager, specialist or equivalent position delivering infrastructure.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent.
Good command of a Nordic language and fluency in English.
Knowledge of cloud computing, distributed computing, operating systems
Implementing and managing Virtual environments
Working familiarity with most network layers and application protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus
Linux, shell scripting a must
Experience with AWS, EC2, Azure, OpenStack and/or other IaaS environments a strong plus
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in setting up High Availability environments and scalable systems
Familiarity with SSH and centralized authentication/authorization
Experience with java
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components
Strong troubleshooting skills
Enthusiasm, energy and ability to evangelize cloud computing

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
