Under the leadership of Investigator, Phillippe Marambaud, PhD, a Post Doc Research Trainee studies the molecular basis of the vascular pathology of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). In cell and mouse models for this disease, we seek to increase our understanding of the cellular and molecular pathways leading to HHT, but also to identify disease-modifying interventions (see relevant articles: Hum Mol Genet. 2017;26:4786-4798; Sci Rep. 2016;5:37366). Performs research projects as directed. Follows and adheres to experimental protocols in a proficient and meticulous manner.
Responsible for the collection, analysis and interpretation of research data related to specific project.
Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication to peer review journals and presentations at local, national and international conferences.
Performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, correspondence, attending meetings, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, etc.
Responsible for all other activities, clinical and administrative, as needed.
Provides technical direction to research staff.
Performs related duties, as required.
Doctorate (M.D., D.O., DVM, or PhD.) Degree, required.
May have authored/co-authored published articles and/or abstracts.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Background in molecular andcell biology is preferred
Prior expertise in mousehandling, confocal microscopy, and image analysis is preferred
