Eaton’s Information Technology function is hiring an IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) - Finance/Procurement; Vehicle Group. The IT BRM Specialist will be located at our Galesburg, MI facility.

Job Overview:

The Business Relationship Management Specialist will be the primary point of contact for the Vehicle group functions supporting Finance, Global Trade, Procurement Management and others as necessary.

  • Identifies opportunities, projects, builds consensus across customer base and IT, develops business cases to secure funding, Spans multiple business functions.

  • Ensures scope of projects are well-defined for transition to delivery COEs

  • Ensure all stakeholders are engaged, projects are completed and return on investment is realized

  • Reviews escalated issues for scope and clarity, vetting, documenting and routing through the appropriate support mechanisms

  • Delivery assurance of medium sized initiatives leveraging the COEs

  • Ensure effective level of support for existing systems/processes

  • Ensure significant projects are delivered effectively and reliably to meet the strategic business objectives, acting as DGC members.

  • Ensure all stakeholders are engaged, projects are completed and return on investment is realized

  • Directionally aligned to a small business or a large functional group within a business

Strategic Responsibilities:

  • Ensure IT alignment with customer strategy - customer advocate

  • Ensure customer alignment with IT strategy and IT guiding principles

  • Eliminate projects that are not aligned with the IT strategy, have weak business benefits or are duplicate solutions to existing enterprise software portfolio

  • Ensure solutions aligned with and supports architecture standards. Partner with architecture team if no standard exists

  • Responsible to customer for service provider success

Tactical Responsibilities:

  • Ensure appropriate customer communication & IT response during significant incidents

  • Communicate customer issues/needs within IT. Point of contact for customer escalations and complaints

  • Establish customer project priorities & communicate within IT

  • Accountable for defining OC with project sponsor. Accountable for capturing and reporting OC after reviewing with and gaining approval from project sponsor.

  • Develop/manage customer IT project portfolio (book of business) and IT profit plan

  • Attend Partners Reviews: communicate project status, key IT programs that impact them, key production support issues, communicate within IT key business objectives/initiatives, business strategy/objectives changes, budget changes, prioritization changes

  • Distribute annual stakeholder survey & develop/track follow-up actions


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in from an accredited institution required

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis or Project Management

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation offered; candidate must reside within 50 miles of Galesburg, MI Southfield, MI Marshall, MI, or Beachwood, OH.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Functional expertise with Enterprise ERP systems (Oracle preferred)

  • Strong knowledge in at least 3 the following business process areas; Physical Inventory, Intercompany Sales Orders, Monthend Close, Swiss environment, Global Trade Management and Procurement

  • Good knowledge of project management disciplines, Eaton’s PROLaunch methodology or other Project Management and System Development Lifecycle Methodologies (SDLC).

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels of the organization. This position will proactively work with both Senior Business Leadership and Senior I.T. Leadership on a regular basis.

  • Solid critical thinking/analytical and problem solving skills, especially in a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills including facilitation and negotiation, ability to lead and influence others, and the ability to effectively interface and work with a wide variety of people.

  • Knowledge of several business analysis techniques including, benchmarking, process modeling or decomposition, metrics and key performance indicators, prototyping, root cause analysis and others as applicable.

  • Ability to coordinate and/or lead many activities on a medium to large-scale projects.

  • Scope may include large concurrent complex projects within global function, region and/or sector

  • Able to provide input into strategic road mapping.

  • Able to engage and contribute to business process improvement efforts.

  • Ability to bring innovative thought around upgrading and optimizing enterprise solutions

  • Ability to travel to Galesburg, MI regularly- several times per month as needed
