We are looking for Applications Engineer in Eaton’s Electrical Sector, based in Mascot, Australia.

The role is to provide technical and administration support to the sales and order cycle including RFQ, sales order processing and manufacturing (local and overseas).

Your essential responsibilities:

  • Post sales BOM and Item Creation for local ETO manufacture

  • Provide engineering interface with Eaton overseas factory for ETO systems

  • Prepare or modify technical documentation and drawing for submission to the customer for sign off and manufacture

  • Provide technical support to local and overseas manufacturing of PQ systems

  • Create mechanical and electrical drawings to support post sales project delivery

  • Coordinate, supervise and conduct factory acceptance test

  • Provide technical support to sales, bid and project teams on project solutions

  • Carry out the roles and responsibilities as detailed in the quality, safety and environment policies and procedures

  • Commit to the quality, safety and environment and proactively reporting any risks and issues

  • Understand the company mission, vision, policies, objectives and other requirements of the quality, safety and environment management system

Qualifications

If you have:

  • Electrical engineering tertiary qualification essential

  • Computer Literacy is essential, particularly with M/S Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD

  • Technical experience with knowledge of critical power products and systems

  • Experience in the electrical industry dealing with a combination of UPS, DC power, battery systems, low / medium voltage electrical and mechanical engineering (5 or more years’ experience preferred however will consider exceptional new talent with less)

  • A good working knowledge of Australian electrical standards and industry practices

  • Understanding of the manufacturing processes from sales order to product delivery

  • Strong communication, (written and verbal), together with negotiation and analytical skills

  • Demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines, be proficient in time management and the ability to priorities work load

  • Be able to work in a team environment

  • Learning agility & Strong customer focus

  • Detail oriented
