The Deloitte Encore Program was specifically designed to enable seasoned professionals who have left the workforce for two or more years to return to work. This paid fourteen-week program offers an opportunity to enhance your skills while providing you a role in a client service environment. Deloitte s MS&SO is one of the high-performing offerings within SCNO. The MS&SO market offering sits at the intersection of the executive boardroom and the factory floor driving performance improvement by executing business strategy through the Manufacturing function. The practice s service offerings begin with development and definition of Manufacturing Strategy and run through execution of that strategy across the manufacturing value stream. Specifically, we help our clients transform their manufacturing performance by:
Defining the strategic direction and priorities for the manufacturing function, in light of both global business conditions and Enterprise strategy
Redesigning manufacturing network footprint to meet strategic priorities at an optimal balance of service level and cost
Implementing leading-edge smart factory solutions (including robotics, sensors, additive manufacturing, etc.)
Assessing and implementing digital supply chain strategies including robotic process automation, big data, predictive analytics, etc.)
Designing operating and governance models for direct and indirect manufacturing support
Transforming the value equation for direct materials by optimizing product portfolio, improving sourcing and supplier development
Collaborating with the extended supply chain to achieve performance targets
Applying lean principles to achieve operational excellence in the factory and the supply chain
Improving plant productivity through increase in asset efficiency, quality and manufacturing reliability
Achieving operational synergies through post-merger integration
Work you'll do
As a Supply Chain and Network Operations (SCNO) Consultant, you will work in a collaborative team environment to advise, implement, and operate transformational solutions that bring world-class supply network capabilities, operational know-how, advanced analytics, and industry-specific hybrid solutions to deliver client value. SCNO has specific market offerings that specialize in: Digital Supply Networks, Internet of Things, Sourcing and Procurement, Manufacturing, Product Development, Dynamic Fulfillment, and Synchronized Planning.
Illustrative activities include:
Work directly with clients to understand their Supply Chain, Manufacturing and related processes, capabilities, and systems
Set engagement objectives and scope, develop work plans, and coordinate activities across and between multiple project workstreams
Identify and implement strategic programs for clients operations departments, and develop ways to assess, measure, and improve operational performance
Assess and/or guide the assessment of large datasets to discover meaningful patterns, trends and relationships
Develop advanced analytics and / or cognitive approaches to generate insights and improve supply chain performance
3 years of relevant work experience
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Consulting, Supply Chain Strategy/Planning, Sourcing & Procurement, Product Development, Logistics & Distribution, Data and Analytics
Experience prioritizing tasks and managing assignments in a collaborative team environment
Willingness for weekly client-based travel, up to 80-100% (Monday Thursday/Friday)
Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any) or a related field
An MBA or MS in Logistics, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Math, Statistics, Physics, or related field.
Strong oral and written communication and documentation skills, including presentation skills (MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with large data-sets and optimization modeling
Familiarity with advanced visualizations, analytics, and Internet of Things (IoT) technology
