AECOM is seeking a Transportation Manager to manage and coordinate activities within area of responsibility . Will be responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of contract activities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization and customer policies. Responsibilities include being the focal point for customer inquiries; planning, assigning, and directing the workforce; appraising employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; improving morale by addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The Transportation Manager must have 4-10 years of related experience and shall be responsible at minimum for the following:
Establishes work procedures, prepares work schedules, and assigns resources.
Reviews reports and schedules to manage priorities, problems and insures schedules are met and workload meets requirements.
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness and conformance to policies and procedures.
Insures environmental/safety compliance for area of responsibility; insures all personnel meet training requirements.
Issues and periodically reviews performance plans with employees. Ensure employees are compliant with Department of Transportation and contract requirements.
Maintains positive customer relations and expedites resolution to internal and external customer issues/complaints.
Prepares reports and maintains documentation/logs as required.
Evaluates procedures and processes for efficiency and makes recommendations for process improvement to senior management.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain effective communications with customer.
Capture, manage, and distribute metrics on a monthly basis to internal/external stakeholders.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
One to two year's of management experience desired to include managing staff and scheduling personnel to provide critical services related to transportation.
