Chenega Professional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking to hire a SAP Solutions Architect to support the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Business Systems Center (BSC) in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role will support a variety of initiatives to improve overall organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency. Support services are required for emergent program support needs, in the areas of information technology, supply chain and logistics areas. NAVSUP BSC is the Navy's premier Information Technology provider of choice with responsibility to design, develop, and maintain information systems supporting numerous activities in the functional areas of logistics, supply chain management, transportation, finance and accounting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and guidance on the overall SAP Technology Infrastructure as it relates to IT and business strategies.

  • Evaluate, develop and maintain SAP infrastructure roadmap to reduce overall complexity and increase cost efficiency.

  • Maintain expertise in the area of SAP architecture including industry trends, strategies, and products to ensure corporate assets are optimized.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.

  • An additional 4 years of relevant or equivalent development experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree

  • Five years' experience in SAP or other ERP equivalent COTS.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Research Analysts must have a four-year college degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics or a related discipline and at least five years' technical experience.

  • Knowledge of design & implementation of computer and database management systems.

  • Thorough knowledge in SAP Infrastructure with emphasis on SAP Basis, Security, Change management, SAP Integration technologies, Development Workbench, Memory management, and Workload management within SAP CCMS.

  • Well-versed with SAP Data Dictionary, SAP Solution Manager, Transport management and Oracle physical design for SAP.

  • Knowledgeable with the HP-UX UNIX, Oracle RDBMS and Windows 2000 and 2003 platforms. Knowledgeable in Web Infrastructure, SAP Integration Layers and NetWeaver Architecture.

  • Experience in SAP Sizing, Workload characterization and Capacity Planning.

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written, with all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, including working with internal and external departments and organizations; Experience with virtual, cross-functional teams with track record of delivering results
