Marsh & McLennan Project Analyst - Reconciliations in Melbourne, Australia

Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Melbourne office: Project Analyst - Reconciliations (6 month fixed term contract) What can you expect? The Project Analyst - Reconciliations leads project initiatives, provides support to business teams and Fund Control team members with clearance of reconciliation variances and resolution of issues. As the project lead, the project analyst will work with Finance Operations colleagues and other business teams to plan and implement key initiatives to improve efficiency and enhance controls. The project analyst will also assist the team with the establishment of reconciliations for new client installations, and will provide regular reconciliation dashboard reporting to management. What is in it for you? 35 hour working week Fruit baskets twice a week, coffee, biscuits and great break out areas Brand new agile workspace in Collins Square Great team environment with energetic and supportive colleagues Genuine work life balance In this role you will be responsible for: Participate in key projects Represent & coordinate various projects for the fund control team, including determining timelines, assigning tasks, planning activities and providing regular status. Evaluating and monitoring the overall project Assist team to investigate and resolve complex reconciliation issues Provide coaching & mentoring to the team on complex issues Provide regular update & document process changes and provide training to the team Identify and implement process improvements Develop and implement process improvements to improve quality and efficiency Coordinate process changes within the onshore & offshore teams Identify and analyse further opportunities to offshore fund control tasks. Assist and facilitate Fund control BAU tasks. Provide regular reports on status of project reconciliation work Accurately record core task completion and diverted time in Real Time Management system We would like you to have: Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, commerce or a related discipline preferred but not required 3 - 5 years’ experience in a reconciliation or business analyst role, preferably gained in the superannuation, funds management or custody segments.
