As a Master Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Oracle is seeking a pre-sales cloud security architect to support our North American security sales team.
We are seeking an individual with deep expertise in cloud security and its role across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
You will work with Oracle customers to architect security solutions supporting their transition to a hybrid cloud architecture. You will help fortune 100 clients ensure they have a secure path to the cloud, working with IT Directors and C-level executives.
As an Oracle Cloud Security Architect you will be responsible for:
Pursuing excellence relentlessly, believing that security can be woven simply and seamlessly into every layer of the application spectrum
Perform cloud security architecture reviews to assess security implications for the introduction of new or differing technologies within the environment
Provide recommendations regarding security requirements and mitigations for securing business use cases with a defense in depth approach
Articulate the potential of the cloud and provide expert level cloud security architectural design guidance so that customers realize a secure posture for their cloud strategy
Serve as the subject matter expert and thought leader in technical areas related to cloud deployments and associated platforms
Facilitate security architect reviews across all layers of the cloud
Engage with customers to understand their business drivers, discover enterprise challenges, assess application portfolios, design reliable and cost-effective hybrid cloud infrastructures, create transition plans, and develop business cases to justify cloud architecture efforts
Build enterprise application migration strategies
Ensure architecture related processes and standards are followed
Pre-sale activities with Oracle customer prospects (on-site and remotely) related to service enrollment and adoption, including
o Detailed discussions of service offerings
o Understanding of integration with SaaS/IaaS/PaaS offerings and capabilities
o Discussions on licensing, pricing and value proposition of product in marketplace
o Ability to relate and communicate good security practices with customers using industry best practices in cloud security
- Provide expert assistance for Oracle service end users, including
o Understanding and operating service features and functionality
o Understanding customer's usage of other vendor SaaS offerings
o Troubleshooting service interactions with other SaaS offerings
o Explaining complex topics and interactions directly with customers
- Works directly with and as core engineering team within Oracle, including
o Providing expert-level feedback on product features and enhancements
o Understanding of application component technologies and solutions, both off-the-shelf and proprietary
o Interacting with Oracle Development for application development and operations
o Developing/assisting with point solution and proof-of-concept application enhancements
o Updating or expanding on existing application features with engineering for product improvement
o Documenting work for support of ongoing engineering and customer activities
o Working with continuous deployment technologies such as patch automation, scripting, and performance/load testing tools
Experience & Skills:
College degree in computer science (MS/BS in Computer Science/Information Technology or related discipline)
4 years of hands-on experience architecting, designing and deploying scalable, multi-tenant public, private, or hybrid cloud solutions
Highly proficient with information security terms, technologies and frameworks such as LDAP/AD/SSO/SAML/NOSQL/REST etc.
Experience with cloud services including Amazon Web Services, Salesforce, Box, Office365, ServiceNow , Oracle Public Cloud, Microsoft Azure, or another related Cloud providers
Development experience using Java and Python, application security, and databases
Previously experience working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities
Strong analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
Proficient with productivity applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Open Office, etc.)
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation delivery
Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of an organization
Demonstrated systematic troubleshooting methods
Understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL and processing of structured and unstructured data
Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models
Practical knowledge of the end-to-end information technology (IT) process, including architecture, design & engineering, implementation, and operations in a secure development lifecycle waterfall, agile and continuous delivery model
Adeptness with information security standards (e.g., ISO 17799/27002, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data protection, and Cloud Security Alliance best practices and guidelines
Industry certifications include: IT security (e.g., CISSP) or Cloud Security-related certifications (e.g., CCSK, Certified Cloud Professional/Architect, etc.)
Familiarity with PCI, SOX and other compliance standards.
Strong ability to present complex concepts to management, team members, and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to be a thought-leader in a team environment
