Eaton Corporation Lead Application Engineer in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
Eaton’s Industrial Controls division, a part of our Electrical sector, is currently seeking a Lead Application Engineer to join our team. This position can be either remote based or out of our Menomonee Falls, WI facility.
The Lead Application Engineer is responsible for provide application support to internal and external customers on Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). In this role, you will develop application solutions for specific customers or market segments as directed by Sales Management/Marketing and manage projects related to the development of application training programs for field sales and customers alike.

You will lead the development of standard application software for the PowerXL VFD (Variable Frequency Drives) platform
You will serve as a project manager during development of online training modules, creating software tools and application notes to assist customers and sales people in the application of our VFDs
You will support marketing in the development of product requirements for new product development
You will test new product software for customer usability
You will develop and train TRC (Technical Resource Center) representatives to increase performance and reduce call times
You will develop, coordinate and conduct internal and external training classes on VFD applications
You will travel to customers and participate in field investigations when required

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s) in an application support, technical support, service, and/or sales support capacity
Experience with PLC concepts - Ladder diagram, Structured Text and/or Function Block programing tools
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Prior experience with field service or sales related to Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Intermediate Computer Programing skills (Ladder programing, Structured Text, flow diagram, C or C++, IEC-61131)
Experience with direct installation, implementation, application, and/or programming VFDs
