Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Biologist for employment in our Mexico City office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Collects both field and bibliographic environmental data

  • Assesses and interprets data

  • Plans, executes, analyzes and reports on the impact of environmental issues to natural systems

  • Conducts or participates in environmental studies and prepares environmental reports addressing contaminant-impacts on environment

  • Performs environmental impacts assessments (MIAs), justified technical studies, and environmental audits

  • Applies knowledge of natural sciences (chemical physics, biology, geology, hydrology and mathematics) to explain phenomena

  • Studies contaminants and determine how to restore the environment

  • May apply principles of natural sciences for engineering projects

  • Provides technical support to the area manager and other office staff

  • Performs technical work by applying standard techniques utilizing established guidelines

  • Ensures all work products of high quality

  • Independently performs most assignments with little or no oversight

  • Receives guidance on unusual or complex issues

  • Makes decisions within established parameters

  • Generates project reports

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or other related field required

  • 4+ years experience perform field environmental

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Strong skills in written and spoken communication

  • Organization and time management skill

  • Interest in Environment and/or Remediation work

  • Flexibility to work on a diversity of technical projects, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative

  • Previous work experience in Environment project

  • Languages: Bilingual: Fluent Spanish and English

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience perform field environmental
