Detailed Description

Perform administration of EBS environments and evaluate performance trend analysis for EBS environments. Troubleshoot of issues presented on the operations of the environments. Propose client configuration and implement technical solutions to enhance and/or troubleshoot the system. Work with others to define changes, upgrades. Responsible for support documentation as well.

Job Requirements

Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. May have project lead role. Minimum five years of related experience in a medium to large organization as sysadmin of Oracle Applications. BS in Computer Science or related field.

Part of a team responsible for implementation of projects, which have direct impact to the success of the business. Will also be involved in direct customer management, including relationship building, and the sharing of technical expertise. Experience in handling high profile escalations along with communications to management.

Required technical skills

  • General UNIX troubleshooting and administration

  • Experience with running services on:

  • Flavors of Linux like OEL, Red Hat Linux

  • Solaris on modern Sun hardware

  • Exposure to virtualization technologies (Xen, Solaris zones, VMWare, etc)

  • Experience on Oracle RDBMS.

  • Experience dealing with customer relationships

  • Able to work with different internal team to complete project related work, or resolve escalations

  • Basic scripting knowledge using k-shell, bash-shell, or Perl is preferable

Required background

  • Two to five years of related experience in a medium to large Oracle EBS environments

  • Experience working in project teams, and being a primary contact for project related work


  • A degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Very good understanding of English.

  • Programming experience in any applicable language.

  • Ability to solely execute small to medium size projects
