As part of the newly formed Food and Beverage Global Business Unit (FBGBU), the extraordinary sales professional in this role will lead the team in the Latin America region selling Oracle POS (point of sale) solutions. This sales leader will report to the Global VP of Sales in the FBGBU and will manage a team of 15-20 individuals.

This Senior Sales Director’s responsibilities include meeting sales revenue growth targets, ensuring customer success, team development and effective deployment of GBU and corporate strategies across the team.

The Senior Sales Director will accomplish this through interaction with the management team, wider sales teams, customers, partners, and lines of business across Oracle. The Sales Director provides leadership and direction in establishing Oracle as the leader in POS solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and manage team to deliver on growth sales strategies for POS into the Latin America region.

  • Manage team to identify targets, build pipeline, penetrate existing accounts, and maintain strong ongoing relationships with customers.

  • Contribute to GBU growth strategy and plan execution.

  • Build personal credibility and manage internal networks and relationships

  • Establish and maintain sales management processes through your leadership team, including forecast review, activity management, territory and account penetration; actively support corporate policies and initiatives

  • Create and manage short term and long term business plan

  • Actively participate in key deals, strategy, execution, and building customer and external partner relationships

  • Leverage company best practices to ensure customer success and maintain executive relationships in top region accounts

  • Facilitate the success of the team and individuals through coaching and counselling and performance management, while quickly getting new hires contributing effectively to the team

  • Actively recruit and hire highly qualified team members while conducting performance management on an ongoing basis

  • Motivate team members and encourage individual career development

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates will have a minimum of 15 years enterprise software sales experience with 5 years in a successful sales management role or equivalent. Experience of leading teams of Sales Representatives in the F&B industry is essential.

  • Past experience in selling Cloud Solutions.

  • Ability to hire and train new sales representatives.

  • Ability to resolve customer satisfaction issues.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to large and small audiences.

  • Demontrated ability to generate creative options and negotiate price, terms and conditions and other conditions of the sale effectively.

  • Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution abilities.

  • History of managing a global team.

Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across all products and product lines.

Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process. May manage a Regional Manager or Branch Manager. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale. Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans. Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis. Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.
