_Job Description:_ Reporting to the CEO, the Trauma Program Director oversees and coordinates all aspects of the trauma program in a busy progressive hospital setting. Oversees the development of policies and protocols and guidelines related to Trauma. Coordinates and monitors trauma care management across the continuum of care ensuring that comprehensive and continuous care for trauma patients evaluated and admitted to the hospital from the Emergency Room is provided. Collaborates with the trauma program medical director in carrying out the educational, clinical, research, administrative and outreach activities of the trauma program. Collaborates and develops appropriate required clinical reports for the hospital and the State of Florida as required. Ensures accreditation standards are met for Trauma Center verification. Ensures Trauma Service compliance with regulatory agency standards, TJC and AHCA.

_Qualifications:_ * Registered Nurse licensed issued by the State of Florida * Bachelor Degree required - Master's preferred * Maintain a minimum of 10 CEU's in Trauma Nursing annually * Valid and current American Heart Association: Basic Life Support Provider * Certification through Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and or Advanced Trauma Course for Nurses (ATCN) * Possession of a certified Emergency Room nursing (CEN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate is preferred * Three years of professional nursing experience in an inpatient critical care or emergency nursing area or trauma intensive care unit * Background in trauma system management essential - required * Computer literate * Experience in trauma registry management
