CBRE Research Coordinator- Data Intelligence in Miami, Florida


Gather and deliver data products that enable CBRE to create an “unrivaled” data platform in the TX-OK region that differentiates our brand, our products and our professionals to create superior outcomes for our clients. Leverage all resources within the firm, to efficiently and accurately collect and manage property and market data – to enable us to independently own our own data and effectively use third-party data.


Collects commercial real estate market data from the internal departments, field, local market sources and third-party providers.

Review for data accuracy (ensure the number makes sense based on math and previous numbers) using past experience and logic.

Inputs into centralized database correctly and consistently with guidelines, processes and naming and data standardization conventions.

Reviews periodically—at a minimum, before quarterly reports are produced—for errors, omissions/missing information, common sense utilizing all available resources including, but not limited to telephone surveys, local research forums, local internal sales professional meetings, extracting data from brochures and other marketing materials, contacting outside agents, internet and other sources

Partners with the Local Market Area (Sales Management), internal clients (sales professionals) and Field Research to ensure data and market intelligence meets or exceeds their expectations

With training, the ability to understand lease and sale contract terminology, financial terms and the ability to identify and extract the appropriate transaction data from internal contracts.

Ensure work meets both market level and non-market level (i.e. corporate initiative) KPIs for the Data Intelligence team and ensure completion of deliverables and entry guidelines are met to facilitate periodic tracking of those KPIs.

Establish and periodically track progress against metrics related to data quantity and data quality by participating in auditing functions and pre-set timetables to ensure any data correction efforts are completed in a timely manner to meet both market level and non-market level KPIs

Be effective custodian of internal and external market intelligence; lease and sale comps, Tenants in Market, availabilities, development, tenants and stacking plans.

Facilitate crowdsourcing of market intelligence by building and nurturing strong relationships in the market, both within CBRE and with outside parties (competitors, industry associations etc.)

Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming centralized database functions, features and processes to ensure the most effective and updated processes for data collection and entry are being used in day-to-day work.

Responds to ad hoc internal client requests for data, market intelligence, etc.

Establish and periodically track progress against metrics related to data visualization. Display creativity and “out-of-the-box” thinking with respect to the collection and visualization of data by assisting the Data Analyst with data visualization efforts.

While we are looking for candidates that have a strong passion for data and would like to grow further with us in that vertical (including taking on bigger data leadership roles in the future), we would be excited to offer alternative growth paths in the future within the firm to solid professionals, including opportunities in our Field Research (point-of-sale impact) and subsequently our Brokerage departments. However, entry into these growth paths would be contingent upon solid continued performance in the Data Intelligence vertical and adequate support/sponsorship from local business leadership for this professional.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to co-workers.

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field and a minimum of 18 months related work experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents and summarize graphically and in writing.

Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

Ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data.

Strong experience with Microsoft Office
