Marsh & McLennan Marketing & Communications Manager in Milan, Italy

Overview The role is designed to act as a marketing business partner for the business in the country, offering marketing and communications support. This marketing manager will work closely with the sales organization to execute integrated marketing and communication campaigns to drive growth and client engagement. They will work with the country business leadership to develop and execute compelling internal communications and colleague engagement strategy. They will also work with local media to position us as industry leader. Their primary accountability is for Marketing & Communications, but they will be expected to support colleagues across the business. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering compelling, growth-oriented approach , translating and segmenting the company’s business objectives into authentic, inspiring and impactful engagement with clients and colleagues. The role will report to Marsh Italian Head of Marketing and Communications, with the country CEOs as their primary internal customer. Ultimately the success of the role will be determined by its contribution to delivering on our growth aspirations. Essential job responsibilities - Develop and implement a proactive, integrated, compelling marketing and communications activities that drives growth for the region: Partner with business colleagues to understand our key strategies and business plans; Provide advice, counsel, and hands-on support regarding effective marketing initiatives. - Establish and maintain a sustainable master calendar of marketing activities, ensuring we have an impactful, sustainable flow of marketing activities driving towards results and outcomes that we track and report; report on marketing investments and budget; Develop and implement powerful, compelling internal communication programmes to drive colleague engagement and catalyse and reinforce positive client-facing behaviours; - Develop and implement powerful, compelling external communication programmes, including event organization, corporate social responsibility activities and media relations & social media activities; - Provide high quality marketing & communication materials, that are consistent, appropriate while adhering to the broader standards within Marsh and MMC: Manage flow of marketing collateral to deliver on-time and at-standard Meet all regulatory and compliance standards for notification and tracking Manage budget, spend and track ROI to ensure we are effective. Knowledge, skills and abilities 5-7 years of relevant, complex marketing and communications role; Experience working in a large, complex, and matrixed environment, working with a wide variety of stakeholders to develop and execute Marcomms strategies, campaigns and tactics; Experience of delivering impactful campaigns in rapidly-changing, highly-regulated, technologically dynamic environments; Experience in managing effective internal communication programmes; Experience in media relations management; Proven ability to serve as a trusted and influential advisor, and to cultivate meaningful relationships with senior leaders and individuals of influence; Hands-on experience with marketing and communications technologies, including marketing automation software, social, intranets and content management systems; Office Location: Milan R_065699-en R_065699
