Eaton has an opening for a Human Resources Manager located in Milton, Ontario.

As part of the site leadership team, this person will contribute to the site’s organizational effectiveness and financial points by providing direction in human resources and facilitating organizational change. The primary function of this role is to develop, direct and administer a human resources program consistent with Eaton policy and applicable legislation. Key areas of responsibility include, employee relations, recruitment and retention, training and development, performance management and employee engagement, breakdown and improvement of HR metrics/KPIs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • You will provide effective advice and coaching to managers and employees with respect to employee relations, attendance management, corrective discipline, and other people related issues.

  • You will manage Talent Management cycle including performance and organizational capability assessment reviews to assess pipeline strength, define skill gaps and identify and implement necessary developmental actions.

  • You will direct and coordinate the recruitment, selection, promotion, and succession processes.

  • You will work in conjunction with managers and employees to identify training needs. Provide and co-ordinate training programs.

  • You will review key HR metrics, examine route causes and trends and recommend appropriate actions to meet goals.

  • You will co-ordinate with division human resources on job evaluation and compensation issues and administer compensation program.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible Human Resources professional experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the Canada on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered. All candidates must reside within 80 kilometers of Milton to be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or related field.

  • Experience in, or business knowledge of the electrical or related industries.

  • Strong MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with HRIS software

  • Experience in a manufacturing facility.

  • Sound knowledge of relevant Human Resources related legislation, practices and precedents.

  • Strong consulting skills and a demonstrated ability to partner with others effectively across the organization.

  • Proven critical thinking skills (including well-developed analytical and problem solving abilities).

  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills (influencing, negotiating, motivating) to work effectively with internal and external business partners.

  • Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
