This is an exciting opportunity in Mineral Points, Wisconsin for a Quality Technician on 2nd Shift.

Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as New Product Development, Value Package Introduction and Systems Product Validation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting value stream quality needs through use of Romer and various measuring tooling such as: Calipers, micrometer, height gauges and other inspection tools. The employee must process a working knowledge of blue prints and computer programs needed to support the quality functional team.

Key Responsibilities:

§ Component and assembled part layout in accordance to prints

§ Finished goods audit

§ Line Romer for quality concerns

§ Complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics

§ Support Calibration system ( inspection, test equipment, functional gages )

§ Assist with the development of JQA’s (Job Quality Analysis Sheets)

§ Document & record data collected on inspection forms legibly

§ Keep work area safe and clean (5S – Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

§ Promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations

§ Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader


Skills & Abilities:

§ Quality plans and controls knowledge

§ Gauging knowledge

§ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills

§ Overall knowledge of preventive vs predictive maintenance techniques

§ Good attendance

§ Detail Oriented

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
