Our Default Servicing team engages, understands and advises consumer real estate customers of available solutions to resolve mortgage delinquencies.

Incumbent must have proven experience in analytics and data management in a financial industry. Successful candidate must have proven ability to effectively liaison across and within business functions.

Responsible for governance and oversight of Home Lending Servicing Data to meet Operational, Regulatory, WFAS, and Governance and Oversight Framework (G&O) and Enterprise Data Governance Policy (EDG) requirements. Role will be accountable to analyze current data sourcing used across SDA, assessing appropriateness of data sources, and designing solutions that reduce redundancies and simplify the data footprint. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with enterprise business partners, such as the enterprise environment (data lake) and eONE teams, to identify the raw data elements to source for their end use

  • Provide thought leadership and develop requirements to load elements into the data lake, normalize elements, and transform and conform those data from current state into future state for operational and risk & regulatory reporting end use

  • Provide an end-to-end metadata, data dictionary, and lineage process by working across Servicing Lines of Business, SDA, technology groups, and enterprise groups

  • Develop and implement a control framework to effectively manage HL Servicing data using a risk based approach

  • Develop and executes on remediation plans to reduce redundancies, simplify the data footprint across Home Lending Servicing, and address any control gaps

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding BASEL, Risk Appetite and stress testing

  • Knowledge and understanding of relational database administration, analysis, and design

  • Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
