Summary

The Business Partner level II prepares analyses, documentation and reporting in areas including but not limited to: job design and evaluation; market surveys; salary planning and administration; and annual incentive programs. Provides input to wage and salary surveys, completes market analyses and recommends changes to ensure the company’s competitive position in the marketplace. Serve on a team of subject-matter experts in the systems used for base pay/incentive administration, position descriptions and market data. May also be responsible for developing and producing periodic or ad-hoc reporting on compensation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Compensation Programs - Provide compensation support in the design, development and implementation on all compensation-related issues, plans and programs. Assist with annual processes for updating salary structures, base pay guidelines and regulatory filings.

  • Position Evaluation - Evaluate positions within various business areas, including preparing market rate recommendations and FLSA exemption testing. Ensure that market matches are updated for survey submission and annual market evaluation.

  • Incentive/Base Pay System – Assist and/or oversee the administration of annual incentive and base pay programs within the process system during the annual merit and incentive cycle. Participates in the development of the process calendar, communications and system requirements for the cycle. May serve as the liaison with I/T to establish system enhancements. Serves as a member of the team who coordinates the data testing, data file interface exchanges, data integrity audits and system reporting.

  • Compensation Administration - Ensure that the systems, resource materials, online content and SharePoint sites related to Compensation programs are periodically reviewed for necessary changes and are maintained.

  • Responsible for periodic or ad-hoc reporting or special projects on compensation matters, as assigned.

Required

  • Two years compensation administration experience or comparable HR experience.

  • Solid computer skills (proficiency with PeopleSoft or a similar information system, knowledge of how to access information via queries, and experience with software such as Excel, PowerPoint , etc).

  • Good written communication skills are also required.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field or a combination of education and relevant experience providing equivalent knowledge preferred.

  • Knowledge of compensation issues, trends and practices; strong data management, analysis and reporting skills is preferred.
