Oracle Consulting Practice Manager | Retail Xstore POS in Minneapolis, Minnesota
This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.
Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.
8 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.

As a ConsultingPractice Manager, you will be a key member of the Oracle leadership team,driving the development and management of Oracle s Store Systems Consultingteams. The Practice Manager plays a critical role in driving opportunities andrevenue; delivering solutions to our retail clients, providing overall directionon client projects/program including direct supervision of the Project Managersand maintaining practice margins on projects. The Practice Manager juggles thecoordination of all projects within their program and oversees the successfuldelivery of the overall program by coordinating diverse resources includinginternal, client, and applicable third party resources. The ProgramManager will have profit and loss responsibility for his/her team and ownclient satisfaction for the Store Systems installed base.
Accountable for customer satisfactionand retention.
Must understand the project lifecycleunder both a classic waterfall model and an agile model from project kickoffthrough to rollout.
Responsible for the success (high quality,on time, on budget) of the programs/projects reporting to him/her must beable to review Weekly Status Reports and Microsoft Project Plans.
Work with the Sales Team to ensure customersatisfaction as well as pursue new opportunities.
Work closely with the Project Managersto insure that the change order process is adhered to and to define methods ofcommunication with the client must understand scope control.
Responsible for structuring theoverall program/project plan, budget, schedule and staffing requirements.
Responsible for efficient teamutilization on each project.
Ensure that company standards, methodsand tools are utilized on the projects to achieve project success.
Determine responsibilities of assigneddepartment and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
Manage escalations and complaints maintain customer executive checkpoint meetings.
Train and ensure all assignedemployees are aware of and comply with company and customer policies andprocedures.
Lead in various proposal andcontractual pricing efforts and drive revenue and profit margin goals.
Carries out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicablelaws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding anddisciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Bachelor sDegree and a minimum of 4 years related experience and 1 year s supervisoryresponsibility, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
Knowledgeand experience developing large technology projects and managing diverse teamsis mandatory.
Mustwork effectively with senior-level executives and have significant client-interfacingexperience as well as strong presentation skills.
Stronginterpersonal skills, maturity, good judgment and capability of communicatingwith a diverse range of individuals required.
Musthave demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Abilityto think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span.
Demonstratedability to think creatively and innovatively. Outstanding written and oralpresentation skills.
Advancedexperience in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint andOutlook.
Travelup to 50% may be necessary for this position.
