Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Oracle seeks a Program Manager in North America Cloud Engineering

Preferred Location : Seattle, Washington

We are seeking a Program Manager specializing in Business Operations to develop and run robust processes around training and onboarding to aid in the success of growing our rapidly evolving team. The ideal candidate will have a background in training and/or program management experience with a proven track record in building scalable programs. This role is part of the Product Management Organization and works closely with a variety of internal stakeholders and organization-wide groups.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the full life-cycle cross functional projects, programs, and initiatives from initiation to deployment.

  • Defining and managing success criteria, scope, resources and schedule.

  • Setting program goals and deliverables, managing scope and resource changed.

  • Coordinating, reviewing, understanding, and solving problems by gathering required data from appropriate resources, considering all facts and perspectives, understanding business priorities and goals, and making decisions.

  • Communicating daily and weekly status updates as well as attending weekly status meetings.

  • Producing executive-ready communication.

  • Driving timely project execution to schedule, proactively monitoring deliverables, identifying and managing roadblocks and escalating appropriately.

  • Managing stakeholder expectations.

  • Identifying and presenting opportunities for improvement and then define, scope, and get buy-in across cross-functional teams for changes. Audit processes improvement changes for updates.

Experience needed to succeed:

  • 7 years of Program Management experience

  • Proven track record of developing robust programs, ideally within training realms.

  • Professional maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to succeed through collaboration and working through internal and external organizations.

  • Excellent organizational, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working with project management software such as MS Project

  • Familiarity with cloud concepts, terminology, tech stacks.

  • Experience working in a software/cloud company a major plus.

  • Experience communicating 1:1 with end-user customers and presenting at conferences a plus.

  • Bachelor’s or Masters of a related field; or equivalent experience.

Detailed Description and Job Requirement

Manage the development of a new employee onboarding program, operationalizing business objectives and preparing new employees to have a successful transition to the organization. Monitor program targets from initiation through delivery. Coordinate with others at all levels and roles across Oracle to ensure the program’s success. Interfaces with internal technical and non-technical resources as well as senior leadership. This role will own the roadmap and produce scalable documentation.

Duties and tasks will vary as the program grows. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means developing high-level strategy paired with rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. Perform moderately complex problem solving with autonomy.
