Position Description

We currently have an immediate career opportunity for an HRIS Specialist located out of our Canadian Head Office. The HRIS Specialist will be a liaison between the Workday integration team, third-party systems, and a host of other vendors. The Specialist will be involved in the project implementation cycle from configuration and build through to production. The incumbent will operate as part of a team moving through various phases of an implementation. The HRIS Specialist will be the HRIS admin for Canada and be responsible for all programming changes to the system on an ongoing basis.

You will have the opportunity to:

 Define business requirements and develop HRIS based solutions

 Play a key role in the upgrade and release of web-enabled Workday, including system set up and design of modules

 Develop test cases to thoroughly test the HRIS, direct team members to complete test cases, and troubleshoot discrepancies.

 Manage and complete extensive testing and reconciliation activities to ensure accurate functioning

 Develop training materials and deliver training for functional users of the HRIS

 Review existing Workday user experiences, provide feedback and lend design and technical expertise to the project teams.

 Assess the impact of varying design solutions that best align to the business strategy.

 Define success criteria that are measureable and improve organizational capability.

 Create feedback channels that allow for employee engagement throughout the transformation period.

 Work with various teams to ensure the Workday system is delivering results as per requirements.

 Generate reports from Workday as required by various stakeholders.

 Participate in quarterly user audits to ensure appropriate access is assigned to users, including updating Workday Security Roles.

 Other duties as required.

Position Qualifications

 4 or more years’ experience in implementing or supporting Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or similar applications

 Ability to create and deliver training content and generate sense of urgency

 Excellent analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills

 Advanced Microsoft Office applications knowledge (Access/Excel)

 Solid understanding of Human Resources, Benefits and Payroll is necessary

 Familiarity with coding is considered an asset (SQL)

 Proven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships

 Able to deal with the stress related to resolution timeframes and conflicting/competing priorities

 Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and provide complete follow through on areas of responsibility

 Excellent written and spoken English, and other languages beneficial

 Aptitude and ability for learning new technologies and technical skills quickly
