Summary:

  • Under the supervision of the Supply Marines Supervisor, the Production Control Clerk (Maintenance) is responsible for compiling and recording production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production collecting, editing, and submitting maintenance and supply data within the Presidio of Monterey (POM), and California and Military Ocean Terminal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Open and close out maintenance requests via LIS and understand all data elements identified during this process.

  • Perform all aspects of managing, maintaining, ordering, reordering, adjusting and inventorying Bench/Shop Stock.

  • Perform all aspects of managing the required repair parts necessary using processes within the applicable LIS.

  • Manage the Army Owned Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) Program.

  • Oversee the dispatching and scheduling of Army Owned Vehicles.

  • Coordinates repair schedules with customers/repair facilities and ensures timely completion of repairs through proper scheduling and follow-ups.

  • Provides information relative to progress and completion of work.

  • Advises on scheduling and priority control.

  • Participates in evaluation of branch performance and assists in preparation of maintenance and supply reports and statistical performance data.

Minimum Qualifications : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Minimum of two (2) years military or civilian experience in production control functions highly desirable.

  • Must be able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) for computer access.

  • Must possess and continuously maintain a current valid driver’s license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires knowledge in the ATLASS, BARBARA SIRS and GCSS MC

  • Knowledge of automated data systems and automated data system input required.
