The Client Executive (CE) acts as the manager of all service components for the client. The CE, as leader of the account team, manages the client and Marsh service team expectations in terms of direction and monitoring for program design, related services and expanded service development. Builds collaboration at all levels where there is client interface. Act as a broker and advisor for existing Marsh Surety Clients. Provide business development focused primarily on Surety and Construction Practice Develop or assist with development of initiatives and products to increase Surety and Construction Industry Revenues. Reviews client and prospect exposure loss experience and current coverage and analyzes the risk to determine the product/service requirements. Communicates client needs and binding instructions to Client Representatives. Implements and maintains a quality post-sales service plan including ensuring the accuracy of relevant documents. Creates and presents renewal proposals to existing clients. Conducts stewardship meetings with client participation. Generates new sales through existing clients and client referrals in accordance with the business plan. Responsible for growth of assigned book of business plus specific retention goals relating to the number of accounts serviced and revenue. Grows and/or expands current book of business at a target growth rate consistent with current business plan by increasing the amount or types of service or coverage for each account or working with sales professionals to develop new accounts. In conjunction with the department Manager, prepares cost analysis to determine pricing of services and monitors account profitability. Manages revenue, profitability and timely billing and collection (working capital) for each client. Develops a working relationship with all functions within the company to improve client service and increase cross-selling opportunities. Engages the appropriate industry group and Marsh resources to offer best in front resources for each client/prospect. Utilizes and contributes to the company’s network that builds and shares sales and placement information and makes use of company’s network resources to enhance productivity and economic benefits to both Marsh and the client. Obtains feedback on Marsh’s execution of projects and renewals through Client Satisfaction Surveys and ongoing client dialogue. Complies with Marsh Excellence and Professional Standards to ensure quality service to all clients. Qualifications: Possesses a minimum of 5 years’ Client Executive experience. Capable of independently servicing medium- to larger-end (somewhat complex) accounts. Possesses solid surety brokerage account management, servicing and sales skills and is considered a leading Client Executive within the local marketplace. Develops client relationships with Economic Buyer and Risk Manager. Possesses good knowledge of client risk issues and Marsh solutions. Effectively manages and retains renewal business. Provides direction, coaching and mentoring to Client Representatives and, with feedback on performance. Post secondary education or equivalent work experience, preferably within an insurance and risk consulting environment. Holds appropriate license. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization. Is proactive in solving client needs and has a sense of urgency in all client matters. Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work, multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines. Effective team player. Computer literate with proficiency in email, spreadsheet software as well as in-house proprietary financial and sales-reporting systems.
