IBM Workday Client Portfolio Manager in Montreal, Canada
Job Description
The Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) will be responsible for providing quality assurance and account management for our Workday Customers. The CPM will drive business and will be involved in the oversight of several key project deliverables (e.g., SOW development, Change Orders, project/staffing plan, issue logs, etc.) and will work with the Engagement Manager to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success. The Client Portfolio Manager typically sits on Steering Committee Meetings and serves as an initial point of escalation. The Client Portfolio Manager will be responsible for providing oversight on up to 4 concurrent projects, and is ultimately responsible for achieving customer satisfaction on each project. The CPM will be ultimately responsible for working with the Engagement Managers to manage the agreed upon budget and to delivering a profitable project. The Client Portfolio Manager is needed to provide implementation oversight, business process, and HCM product expertise to the project team and customers.
What you will be doing:
Client Satisfaction
Participate in Internal Project Reviews and Quality Assurance Reviews
Successfully advocate for the client within IBM
Build trusting and collaborative business relationships with clients of all level
Focus on providing the best results for the client’s business
Stays on top of concerns to avert issues early
Project Delivery
Maintain utilization goals for project teams
Overall responsibility for project P&L
Deliver Change Orders as necessary
Ensure positive project execution while aiding Engagement Managers with removing barriers and maintaining focus
Own a great client relationship to set overall expectations and project vision; participate in Steering Committee Meetings
Ensure all projects are delivered according to Workday and IBM methodologies and procedures
Serve as escalation point for Client
Coordinate between Sales and Implementation team
Business Development
Identify and drive new business from existing accounts
Develop a Post Production Support pipeline of business from Workday Install base
Work with Sales Team to identify any net new SKU purchases for existing customer base
Understand client’s business and project goals
Participate in pre-sales and help rationalize / justify the Workday Services estimate for pursuits
Transition of presales project knowledge and documentation to the appropriate project delivery team
Develop and help author Statement of Work
Coordinate with Resource Manager to identify appropriate team and skillset to position for project
Lead meetings with prospects and develop scope
Run all pre-sales activities in assigned region in conjunction with IBM Delivery and Solution Leader for PPS, Helpdesk and Change Orders
Team Management
Direct management and mentoring of a team of 6-8 people
Foster consultant career growth
Encourage Consultant skills cross-training to take on additional Workday modules
Keep teams motivate and engaged
Ensure all team members have training on internal business processes and objectives

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
12+ years of consulting experience, preferably implementing global enterprise HCM solutions for large, complex organizations as internal consultant or a consulting/software company
Business Development Acumen and proven track record managing team
Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus
Experience implementing Workday and other HCM solutions using SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP or similar applications
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
- Certified in Workday
