Eaton Corporation Engineering Manager- Cybersecurity in Moon Township, Pennsylvania

Eaton has an opening for an Engineering Cybersecurity Manager. This position will be located in Pittsburgh, PA.

This role will need to establish relationships & influence across business leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to execute on the product and business cybersecurity strategy with customers, within CoEs, across other Electrical Sector businesses and partners.

Key qualifications of this exciting new role include:

  • Work with marketing, engineering, operations, and communications teams to produce and optimize delivery of security features and services, executing go-to-market strategy.

  • Driving strategic initiatives in cybersecurity to achieve Eaton scale impact by establishing plans, setting KPIs, allocating resources, reviewing progress and making necessary corrections quickly and thoughtfully as required

  • Providing strategic risk guidance for critical projects, including the evaluation and recommendation of technical controls for integration of security into product development life cycle

  • Developing and maintaining practical and actionable product development cybersecurity policies and standards that reflect the needs of the business and Eaton product cybersecurity policies while keeping pace with changes in the business and product environment, technology and threats in order to effectively mitigate and manage risk to the business

  • Building a world-class cybersecurity team by hiring, training, coaching, counseling and managing direct reports

  • Developing and employing an ongoing product cybersecurity communications, training and awareness program tailored to the evolving needs of the business and division through change management

  • Identify and drive partnerships that can address current challenges and industry positioning.

  • Occasionally act as customer-facing SME, answering questions and inspiring confidence.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited institution is required.

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience spanning across all phases of Secure Product Development Lifecycle is required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing people is required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering or related field

  • CISSP or equivalent security certification or training

  • Familiarity with one of the technical standards and industry & regulatory requirements (e.g.: IEC, NIST, UL, NERC – CIP etc.)

  • Knowledge of attack vectors and techniques, security controls, emerging technologies.

  • Experience in the energy industry, or with similar critical infrastructure.

  • Ability to drive change in a challenging environment in an inclusive manner

Position Success Criteria:

  • Ability to manage diverse areas and large, complex projects.

  • Ability to influence and work with various technical leads in different organizations.

  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities.

  • Ability to interface directly with executives and other senior leaders of different business units.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts and present to Business Unit leaders.

  • Ability to foster collaboration across global development teams.

  • Established project management and organizational abilities.
