Eaton Corporation Junior Financial Analyst in Morges, Switzerland


This position supports the activities of the Eaton Financial Accounting Group in the EMEA region that leads corporate financial accounting, compliance and governance throughout EMEA. The role is based in Morges, Switzerland.

The role provides support on areas such as accounting (US-GAAP and statutory), audit, compliance and training for region wide processes under the responsibility of the EMEA Financial Accounting Group.

It supports as well the EMEA Financial Accounting Group in its role to set and streamline proper financial control and compliance framework for Eaton activities in the region, offering management a comprehensive set of financial and risk management tools.

In addition, this role provides specific support on areas such as accounting (US-GAAP and statutory), audit and compliance for the Eaton legal entities in Switzerland, Mauritius and Romania.

This position will work closely with various EMEA Corporate Departments (Tax, Treasury, Accounting, Legal, others) and Operating divisions, as well as Global Financial Accounting teams and International Shared Service Centers.


  • Supports the oversight of US GAAP monthly closing activities for a number of corporate ledgers;

  • Prepares and submits quarterly and annual statistical reports for all Swiss legal entities subject to such reporting;

  • Coordinates intercompany recharges for the EMEA region, ensuring invoicing accuracy and timeliness by working in close collaboration with the transfer pricing, supply chain, IT and treasury departments as well as global financial accounting and the shared service centers;

  • Supports the lead analysts and the country cluster controller in ensuring that all financial reporting for Group, statutory and fiscal accounts for cluster’s legal entities are prepared timely, efficiently and accurately in compliance with US and local GAAP, corporate policies, legal and fiscal regulations and within Eaton’s framework of norms and business philosophy;

  • Supports the EMEA statutory impairment test process for investments, goodwill and intangibles accounts;

  • Supports the EMEA Financial Accounting team in regionalization of financial and compliance processes such as accounts analysis, SOX coordination, training and balance sheet reviews;

  • Assists other Corporate teams and Operations with accounting advice, analytics and other US GAAP, local GAAP, Corporate Policy, internal control, audit, tax and treasury related requests;

  • Supports the deployment of the EMEA Compliance Framework and other Financial Accounting initiatives in the region;

  • Supports the compliance monitoring process and the operation of various tools developed by the EMEA Financial Accounting Group with continuous focus on process efficiency;

  • Assists on ad hoc projects undertaken by the EMEA financial accounting group;

  • Ensures ethical standards are maintained and supports the delivery of guidance, training and education of accounting professionals as required.


• Professional qualification/degree in accounting;

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience;

• Experience in finance/ accounting/ auditing within a multinational company preferred;

• Good understanding of accounting (US-GAAP/ IFRS/ Swiss CO), financial reporting, consolidation and analysis;

• Knowledge of MS Office required (Oracle, SAP and/or Hyperion (or similar software) experience desirable); Good Excell skills and Powerpoint are a must;

• Ability to professionally and effectively interact and collaborate with senior level internal and external executives;

• Excellent working knowledge of the English language;

• Strong presentation and communication skills;

• Ability to operate and deliver independently without day to day supervision
