Oracle Senior QA Engineer (JoinOCi-Edge) in Mount Laurel, New Jersey

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

JobSummary:

Oracle Dyn hasan opportunity for a talented QA engineer to join their world class developmentorganization reporting to a Manager, QA Engineering.This person will be responsible for developing anoverall test strategy to ensure anexceptional user experience through our Web interfaces. He/shewill augment an automated test framework to support products written inmultiple programming languages across multiple servers. Additional responsibilities include thedevelopment, implementation, and execution of test plans, verification oftests, and the development of process support tools for distributedmulti-tiered Linux based applications. Position is located in Manchester, NH

Duties:

  • Taking ownership of creatinga test strategy that takes the software design, complexity, and other factorsinto account to clarify the major tasks and challenges of the test project

  • Developing automated testrunners for functional, performance, and load test suites across GUI, API, andcommand-line interfaces

  • Perform both standard and exploratorytesting to verify products meet or exceed specifications and quality objectives

  • Utilizing different testingmethodologies, including unit tests, functional tests, exploratory tests,integration tests

  • Assisting in the definitionof verification methods, tools, and configurations for product testing

  • Defining, updating, andexecuting test cases and plans for manual and automated tests

  • Tracking, and providingstatus on verification test efforts

  • Operating effectively andwith a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and escalate issues appropriately

  • Working with other members ofcross-functional teams, Product Managers and Marketing to create, implement, andimprove QA procedures for our products

  • Create and apply new approachesand concepts to improve the productivity and efficiency of testing practices

  • Consistently exercisingindependent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Skills:

  • Development experience onLinux/UNIX (Shell scripting, Python, Perl, Ruby)

  • Should be detail-oriented, organized,and have exceptional written and communication skills

  • Experience withobject-oriented programming

  • Familiarity with REST or SOAPAPIs

  • Should be a flexible,resourceful, team player that is able to thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment

  • Collaborate with local andremote team members in a positive and collaborative manner

  • Ability to execute anddeliver a quality product with tight guidelines and schedules

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in automatedtesting frameworks (Selenium, Junit, JMeter)

  • Experience withcontainerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with deploymentand provisioning tools (Terraform, Ansible)

  • User Experience testing onmultiple browsers

  • Experience with cloudtechnologies and virtualization is desired

  • Knowledge and understandingof Agile/SCRUM

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree inEngineering or Computer Science or equivalent in work experience and self-study

  • Advanced degree is a plus
