American Water Supply Chain Internship (Spring) in Mount Laurel/Camden, New Jersey

American Water is consolidating employees based at multiple sites in southern New Jersey into one Corporate Headquarters location in Camden, New Jersey for a greater sense of community, efficiency and collaboration. More than 600 people from each of the four existing buildings will move in a phased approach beginning in early October and continuing through November. Positions posted in Voorhees, Mount Laurel, and Cherry Hill, NJ will ultimately be based in Camden, NJ.

Primary Role

The primary role of this position will be to provide assistance to the supply chain department from January to approximately May, 2019.

Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluate and identify water data in relation to energy usage

  • Develop reports that provide energy efficiency insight for state management and supply chain

  • Gather product data and create catalogs to be used for purchase order requisitions

Knowledge / Skills

  • High level of proficiency with Word, Excel, Access.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to perform administrative duties

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
