This role will be aligned to ERPM in Western Europe and attached to the VP ERPM / HCM Solution Engineering Western Europe


  • Manage the Western Europe Net New Name ERPM Solution Engineering team

  • Build a Modern Solution Engineering team which exemplifies the high standards of the role and continuously raises the bar in performance. Modernise SE Services. Drive Customer Engagement Innovation & Competitive Differentiation across the team.

  • Be a trusted advisor to our customers. Develop and communicate value propositions at executive and C-levels that exploit Oracle’s solutions, its architecture and capabilities in different industries.

  • Work closely with the Net New Name Sales Leadership to increase our Win Rate and achieve/exceed our target revenue, targeting new names.

  • Lead the development and delivery of Solution Engineering capability, ensuring that it matches current and future demand.

  • Leading role in account planning and strategy development. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Help customers succeed in their digital transformations. Promote Customer Advocacy. Support customer success and referenceability.

  • Foster innovation: create WOW effect and high Customer Impact to show case Oracle innovation and promote emerging technologies

  • Be able to disrupt the sales cycle through innovations, and demonstrates solid analytical thinking to winning the deals.

  • Work closely with and build relationships with other Oracle Lines of Business, including Sales Management, Industry Architects, Product Strategy Team, Development, Alliance & Channel, Marketing, etc.

  • Leverage industry knowledge to recommend relevant and innovative solutions that support your customers’ desired outcomes

  • Design, present and articulate Oracle Applications to a variety of external and internal stakeholder audiences

  • Represent Oracle as a credible expert, providing current and new product information through workshops and at customer or industry events

  • Drive the strategic growth of EMEA Applications through an active contribution to the SE community

  • Extensive knowledge of business applications (ERP/EPM)

  • Good knowledge of ERPM market Competition

  • Having managed teams

  • 12 years of experience as pre-sales or implementation consultant in enterprise transformation projects or business experience (Industry Qualification is a plus)

  • Understanding of Oracle’s Cloud strategy and the SaaS marketplace

  • Sales methodology knowledge, including processes and disciplines

  • Ability to apply technology to drive innovation, experience in utilizing design thinking a plus

  • Bachelors / Masters degree or equivalent desirable

  • Fluent English (other languages are a plus)

  • Travel within Western Europe region is required

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.

As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
