IBM Qradar Support Engineer in MULHUDDART, Ireland

Job Description

IBM Ireland Lab is seeking graduate software engineers to join the QRadar Support Team at the IBM Technology Campus in Dublin.

Reporting to a Support Manager and working with a global team, you will be an integral part of our EMEA Advanced Threat Support (ATS) Support organisation. You will be involved in supporting our security products, mainly IBM QRadar – named the Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for the ninth consecutive year in Dec 2017.

You will gain exposure to a wide range of Security technologies, working with some of the world’s top network and security experts, to expand your knowledge in the ever expanding Cyber Security realm. You will find a challenging role with great personal rewards gained when assisting in solving mission critical situations for some of the largest multinational companies globally.


-Become a technical subject matter expert (SME) for our flagship product family of Qradar SIEM

-Analyse customer problems and service requests and resolve them within agreed service levels

-Use troubleshooting/ debugging techniques and tools to analyse technical problems

-Engage development teams for issues that need a resolution through code fixes

-Increase IBM's Self-Help knowledge base, by creating knowledge articles wherever needed

-Provide feedback to the development team on product feature enhancements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Linux or UNIX Systems Administration skills

Network Administration skills

SQL skills

A passion for customer Support

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Bachelor’s Degree Software/Engineering or equivalent Support experience

Experience in Network and Lunux Administration

Fluency in an additional (other than English) languages
