About the role:
The person selected for this role will report to Global Director - FOM and will work in line with our Converge Values of Respect, Growth and Pride to establish Converge as the #1 Independent distributor in the DACh electronics marketplace.
This is a dual role with work as an Account Manager, owning a small, focused selection of accounts in DACh but with global influence to their wider organisations, partners and supply chains, along with Business Development duties, accountable for driving and supporting complex, high-margin business across the wider DACh sales team.
Target-focused activity to ensure order-of-magnitude growth vs. DACh personal and BDM sales targets,
Ownership of and maintenance of PSL approval in specified clients,
Co-operation with global Regional Managers to ensure opening of, and support for, worldwide arms of specified German clients,
Close work with Arrow sales teams to establish best practices and mutual cross-selling benefits, including site visits
Establishing relationships with key contacts at major customers in a business development role, including making customer visits and attendance at trade shows
Ability to get results from a multinational team in a changing and competitive commercial environment
Ideally based in our Munich office with business travel as necessary
Minimum 10 years direct experience in independent marketplace
Significant and demonstrable previous success in equitable clients
Demonstrable success of significantly exceeding sales targets
Ability to think strategically, and develop team plans independently
Top-tier networking capabilities up to and including C-Suite personnel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Ability to relate corporate goals to motivate the team without authority
Excellent presentation skills
Focused approach to service-driven relationships
Fluent in both German and English
