Primary Role:* Adjudicate claims with invoices submitted by authorized service centers. Process any type of reimbursement from customers timely and efficiently. Assist with claims inquiries internally and externally. Assist Claims Management group with creating claims, open claims issues, and preparation of reports and reconciliations for month, quarter and year end close. Perform other duties within the department as needed.
Able to process mail received daily including new requests for reimbursements
Validate and approve invoices for processing against contract rates and term and conditions of programs up to $10,000
Notify service provider and make corrections to invoices as appropriate for service providers
Enter claims on a daily basis in the Claims Management System successfully meeting claims department metric
Review, create, and process reimbursements - month end accrual and recon process
Create repair claims for 3rd party claims as needed for processing
Ability to train and test the Claims Management System
Ability to coordinated a high level of claims data on a daily basis
Accurately perform data entry into propriety operating system
Create invoice validation reports for service provider to effectively communicate status of outstanding invoices
Understand database applications and operating systems
Assist with inquiries regarding claim status and general product information with internal and external customers
Assist claims management department with daily workload, month end processes and other duties as assigned
Develop and build effective relationships within the department as well as with other departments including the contractors in our service provider network
Assist in resolving service provider issues regarding claims invoice/billing
Implement process improvements as well as service on project team as directed by management
Responsible for driving results through performance management including prioritizing workload, evaluating results and taking corrective action as needed
Effectively maintain department workflow and personal productivity
Effectively perform job duties in a timely and accurate manner
Diagnosis customer issues and drive for resolution
Keep workload organized and effectively prioritized
Ability to meet deadlines as directed by management
Required: Must have solid typing and data entry skills and computer knowledge – 40 WPM
MS Word proficiency
MS Excel proficiency
Full Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred: Data entry and book keeping capability
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Associates degree in business
Preferred: 1 – 3 years accounting and data entry experience is necessary, particularly with Accounts Payable or claim authorization. Employee needs to be a self-starter with some strong time management skills. Needs to be highly organized and able to work in a team oriented environment.
Preferred: Accounting experience in Accounts Payable.
