Oracle Senior Manager - Analytics & Insights (JoinOCI) in Nashua, New Hampshire
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are specifically looking for a Senior Manager to join, build, and lead one of our teams within the Technical Operations & Support Analytics (TOS Analytics) organization. The organization is dedicated to providing accurate data and partnering with teams to help them discover actionable narratives in their data; both by describing the past and predicting the future.
In this role, you will:
Responsible for providing leadership, direction and strategy
Establishing and development of organization to meet and execute on strategy
Work with geographically distributed teams and contribute to the success of your team and other related teams
Deliver large scale projects on-time with high quality
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs or analytical models
Apply your knowledge of software and data architecture to manage development tasks associated with developing, debugging, and designing analytics & insights, models, and data architecture.
Build enhancements within an existing portfolio of analytics to improve insights, quality, or usability
Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections
Develop, manage, and deliver on short and long term organizational roadmap and vision with measurable outcomes
Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet all standards and requirements
Recruit and continue to build out a capable and cohesive analytics team
Mandatory Qualifications:
MS or BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or similar degree with
5 years of management experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed services
5 years of software engineering experience
Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and project management skill
Understanding the importance of a balanced and encouraging team culture
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL Spark, Python, systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies
Prior experience managing a analytics team within a Cloud Services company
Programming and debugging fundamentals in languages/interfaces, such as C/C , Java, Python, etc
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
Experience working with internal customers and translating requests into prioritized work or features
Experience in apply data science techniques to mature an organization from diagnostic to predictive/prescriptive insights
Strong understanding of Product Management to package Analytics & Insights as a product
Strong understanding of Data Governance Models to drive compliance, security, and quality
