Job Summary

The Field Controller will have financial oversite of 2 or more IT Divisions. He or she will leverage a robust set of tools and work independently on large projects of significant complexity and be responsible for analyzing the financials, the business/customer, facilitating solution definition, and successfully integrating financial processes, roles and technology to ensure business/customer objectives and IT&S financial objectives are met for the divisions supported.

  • Drive financial centric collaboration with stakeholders, business users, and technical solution providers to understand business/customer needs and how to account for the financials and communicate results effectively.

  • Evaluate financial processes and lead solution definition (workflow, technology, data, etc.) to support business/customer goals and initiatives while balancing with IT&S financial goals.

  • Facilitate the IT teams through complex financial processes.

  • Drive solution identification and assessment, advocating for the business/customer needs to ensure solutions achieve desired results from a financial perspective.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial reporting is in compliance with HCA Accounting Policies and GAAP.

  • Effectively see and understand the role of a business/CIO area in the greater company context.

  • Leverage a robust network of relationships across multiple business/division areas.

  • Develop, share, and leverage best practices across the Financial Analysis Community.

  • Facilitate communications between IT Financial Operations and the business/CIO's

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to other financial analysts and team members.

  • Independently execute all financial activities including month end, budget and projection activities for business/customer/CIO's

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify financial objectives, scope, and to understand complex environments.

  • Work as liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to financial processes.

  • Quickly understand problems and opportunities in the context of the financial requirements, analyze and present solution options.

  • Leverage and continually mature interview and facilitation techniques to elicit business/CIO and IT financial needs and requirements.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

  • Graduate degree or CPA designation preferred.

  • 7 years of progressive financial or budget analysis experience, supporting complex projects affecting one or more business areas.

  • 3 years of facilitation experience.

  • A proficient practitioner that has an in-depth knowledge of all Financial Analysis areas of practice. Can intuitively assess the best course of action to take in a given situation and understand how and when to apply guidelines. Exhibit professionalism, performs under pressure, and consistently meets deadlines.

  • Experience leading financial meetings/presentations with key business leaders including CFOs and Controllers.
