TriStar Centennial Heart & Vascular Centeroffers a variety of highly specialized treatment approaches for patients having difficulty with their heart’s rhythm and electrical signaling. Heart rhythm disorders can be treated with medications or with a wide range of electrophysiology, mapping, and ablation procedures as well as devices, such as a pacemaker or defibrillator (ICD). We treat many different forms of arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats, using surgical techniques, like Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI), for: * Atrial fibrillation (AFIB) (the most common heart rhythm disorder) * Atrial flutter * Tachycardia (heart beats too fast) * Bradycardia (heart beats too slow) * Supraventricular tachycardia * Wolfe Parkinson White syndrome * Ventricular tachycardia * Neurogenic disorders such as syncope * Other complex arrhythmias
Centennial Medical Centeris currently looking for anEP Technologist – Cath Lab.
_Responsibilities:_ * Assesses, plans, implements patient procedure care. * Reacts accordingly to emergencies. * Scrubs/assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures * Scrubs/assists physicians with insertion/removal of devices such as pacemakers and ICDs. * Communicates pre/post procedure education to the patient/family * Active participation in precepting new employees and shares knowledge with peers * Active participation in mandatory departmental continuous quality improvement * Provides hemodynamic monitoring assistance during procedures * Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients served.
_Qualifications:_ * Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or Cardiovascular Technology preferred. May be considered with 15 years procedure experience. * Current licensure or registry by specialty. * Current BLS certification * Completion of ACLS training within 6 months of hire. * Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, guests, physicians and other employees. * Previous EP experience preferred.
