Summary of Key Responsibilities: Responsible for overall tissue operations to support the institution’s growing molecular profiling initiative, including direct supervision and development of staff, adherence to standard operating procedures and reporting of data to internal and external groups.

Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage performance and professional development of the tissue operations staff. * Create, monitor, document and follow departmental SOPs, WPGs and corporate guidelines. * Ensure timely and accurate entry of molecular profiling data into assigned database, including transcription of pathology reports and review and documentation of patient history, prior therapies, current therapy status and routine therapy follow-up. * Ensure timely and accurate molecular profiling tissue collection process, including tissue requests, queries, tracking logs and shipments. * Prepare reports for leadership, sponsors, CROs and other individuals/groups as needed. * Meet with investigators, study monitors, and others in coordinating study logistics; participate in staff meetings, site initiation and other meetings which will impact the delivery of quality research and compliance. * Receive and triage information requests; research and provide information where appropriate. * Maintain positive and cooperative relationships in day-to-day interactions and communications. * Communicate and escalate unresolved issues at the appropriate time and to the appropriate level of management. * Participate in educational activities and programs. * Maintain strictest confidentiality.

Knowledge: * Must be able to read, understand, and comply with research protocols.

Skills: * Strong computer skills with demonstrated ability using clinical trial databases, electronic data capture, MS Access or Excel

Education: Bachelor Degree required

Experience: * Clinical and/or scientific experience in a research setting required * Management experience required * Clinical and/or Scientific experience in a research setting specifically with working with profiling preferred

Certification or License: Research certification (ACRP or CCRP) preferred
