The PL/SQL Engineer II role is to design, develop, unit test, and maintain database software for the Concuity team in a dynamic Agile environment, collaborating with internal departments and business partners to ensure successful delivery and implementation of database application solutions that meet the business requirements. Ability to achieve subject matter expertise quickly on new applications is needed. Requires proven track record in, and strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL and SQL language skills in Oracle 12c RAC, 12c features, data modeling, performance tuning, batch and real time processing in Linux environments. Experience with Java, J2EE, and Tomcat is preferred. Knowledge of software industry best practices and design patterns is desired. Works both independently and as a member of a team, demonstrates innovation, carries out duties with guidance from development lead.
25% Analyze, revise and design PL-SQL code for Oracle 12c applications.
5% Write, troubleshoot, modify, and enhance complex Unix/Linux shell scripts.
10% Troubleshoot, identify and resolve issues with Oracle database infrastructure.
10% Support an enterprise database infrastructure.
10% Troubleshoot and provide technical solutions to database issues encountered by new and existing applications in the environment.
10% Performance tuning of Oracle database and operating system. Understand client priorities and expectations, adhering to established service levels.
10% Assist with stored procedure design and package development as required by development projects.
5% Actively monitor the Oracle platforms to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize operating expenses.
15% Analyze and tune application performance by optimizing SQL, stored procedures and triggers.
