TheClinical Services Group (CSG)is responsible for the development and implementation of HCA’s Clinical Informatics Program as well as the expansion of business processes and performance related to HCA's Clinical Data Management (CDM) strategy.
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for coordinating across all Nursing Data Ecosystem functions on behalf of its customers to ensure business needs are captured, aligned with the nursing strategy, and integrated effectively into Nursing Data tools. The employee will work closely with the Manager of Data Visualization and Integration, HCA IT&S, Clinical Business partners, and Division and Facility leadership to accomplish the goals of the Nursing Strategy.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the business areas within the company, the key products and services common to the industry, and an understanding of the business goals and value proposition. The candidate must possess a passion for learning new and complicated clinical and operational initiatives quickly and effectively. The candidate selected will support integration efforts needed to improve operational and clinical processes and outcomes leveraging standard analytics tools that assist in ongoing adoption, client/customer support, proactive audit and maintenance of HCA Nursing product tools, and other integration techniques to enable the strategic/tactical processes of HCA Nursing.
The Senior Business Analyst should demonstrate an understanding of complex ideas, a forward-looking perspective, and be able to contribute to tactical discussions. The candidate should practice attentive listening, and display empathy towards others' ideas and perspectives. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst is accountable for capturing information as it pertains to the customer and communicating it amongst the Nursing Data Ecosystem team. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the HCA Nursing Divisions to create Data Pathways that outline the clinical, operational, data, and technical layers of new initiatives. * Create and maintain current business requirements for clinical and operational initiatives. * Track and monitor system changes upstream that will have downstream impacts to Nursing Data Tools. * Support intake of ad-hoc requests for the team through request tracking. * Assist Manager of Data Visualization and Integration in integrating nursing products into the daily workflow of nursing leadership. * Participate in planning, design, development, deployment, and evaluation of all enterprise nursing products strategies and initiatives. * Supports the change management processes for the team. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities: * * Advanced Microsoft Visio and Excel skills. * Program management tool experience (JAMA, JIRA) * A passion for learning complicated new concepts and ideas. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required. * Previous exposure to business intelligence and analytics tools (Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc). * Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly draw conclusions and make recommendations. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Strong teamwork skills and comfort working in a highly collaborative environment; this is a high profile and fast-paced team. * A comfort, or even preference, for an environment of discovery and uncertainty. * Ability to perform work, special assignments, and tasks under only general supervision. * Ability to work under pressure of deadlines. * An interest in learning basic SQL. * Travel may be required (< 20%). *Education: * * Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. * Clinical experience a plus. *Experience: * * 3-7 years relevant experience required. * Experience working on high profile projects.
