*Summary of Position: * This position is responsible for the Clinical Project Management function in Sarah Cannon Development Innovations. This includes all activities performed by the Clinical Project Managers and Project Directors. This position is responsible for strategic planning for resourcing, systems, processes and infrastructure for this function.

The responsibilities of the Clinical Project Management team include coordinating and supervising overall responsibility for multiple assigned clinical research trial project deliveries throughout all lifecycle phases. This team provides leadership in the development of trials as well as related documents. They work closely and effectively with physician principal investigators, research directors, clinical trial sponsors, cross functional study teams and outside consultants.



Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to: • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and Sarah Cannon SOPs. • Manage the performance of direct report colleagues, including role expectations and performance reviews. • Ensure adequate support, troubleshoot performance issues, and identify and develop training opportunities for department and individuals. • Provide oversight, leadership and direction for Clinical Project Management Function of Development Innovations. • Oversee department Managers and provide guidance on any staff related or HR issues. • Develop and write appropriate SOPs and working practice guidelines. • Inform Senior Director Clinical Development for Innovations of issues, progress, and risks related to successful delivery of clinical projects. • Ensure Project Management processes are efficient, result in high quality customer service, and that trial delivery is on time and on budget. Includes the development of appropriate SOPs and working practices. • Ensure project managers provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. • Manage conflict with customers to ensure positive outcomes, as required. • Forecast resourcing needs to ensure staff is adequately trained to meet business needs with optimal utilization. • Develop and implement standards in conjunction with Clinical Development Leadership Team. • Partner with Development Innovations Leadership Team to drive the success of the company. • Partner with Clinical Development Leadership Team to ensure performance metrics are achieved and drive business excellence. • Develop and execute Development Innovations strategies. • Participate in business development proposal development and bid-defense meetings as needed. • Maintain strictest confidentiality for Sarah Cannon and our clients.

Minimum Qualifications

_Education:_ Minimum Required: Bachelors College Degree (4 year program) Preferred:Master’s Degree (1-2 year program) _ _ _Experience:_ Minimum Required: • At least 5-7 years of Clinical Project Management experience in the clinical research industry (sponsor/CRO/biotech or combo) • Leadership experience, managing a project or a team • Technical experience with Project Management tools • Early phase Oncology experience • Direct supervisory experience of clinical project managers

Preferred: • At least 10 years of clinical project management experience from a CRO • System implementation experience • Experience in resource allocation models • Project management certification
